Client’s Space Dilemma:

  • · Client desires a more “open” floor plan.
  • · Existing Dining Area and Living Room not large enough.
  • · Existing Master Bedroom is too long (odd proportion).
  • · Existing Laundry Room is not located on same level of house as Master Bedroom.

Designer’s Solution:      

  • · Reorient new enlarged Kitchen to be open to new Great Room with water view.
  • · Unused Guest Bedroom converted to Formal Dining Room.
  • · New Dining Room is now Focal Point for visitors entering at Foyer.
  • · Master Bedroom downsized by adding a New Office.
  • · New combination Laundry Room / Pantry provided on same level as Master Bedroom.

Architectural Highlights:

  • · More interior space oriented to water view.
  • · Oversized island in Kitchen.
